Living History & Reenactment Events

Throughout the year, I take part in living history events and festivals — donning Tudor linen, tending the stillroom fire, and bringing the old ways to life through scent, story, and craft.

Whether portraying a stillroom mistress of 1540 or a wise woman of the hedge, these appearances are not performances. They are remembrances — quiet acts of honouring the hands who came before.

If you’re visiting a heritage site, you may find me there — stirring rose honey, grinding herbs with a mortar, or offering a tale or two from the stillroom bench.

Historical Herbal Support for Film & Reenactment

From the stillroom to the screen — I bring Tudor and medieval herbal knowledge to life.

Consultancy & Props
– Guidance on historical remedies, herbs, and stillroom practices
– Authentic recipes, texts, and usage from Tudor & medieval sources
– Advice on period-appropriate props, ingredients, and rituals

Craft & Demonstration
– Preparation of authentic remedies (ointments, tonics, tinctures, strewing herbs)
– On-set stillroom or apothecary demonstrations
– Hands-on workshops for cast, crew, or public engagement

With a basket of nettles and centuries in my fingers, I help bring herbal history to life — accurate, atmospheric, and richly detailed.

📜 Past work includes Tudor festivals, apothecary demonstrations, and crafting remedies directly from historical texts.

If your production or event would like a touch of stillroom authenticity, I’d love to hear from you.

The Master Apothecary Keepsake — 2026

For guests who complete three or more workshops within a year, I offer a small stillroom thank-you — a way of honouring your curiosity, your hands, and the time you’ve spent making beside me.

Your keepsake includes:

🌿 A personalised Master Apothecary Certificate, printed on thick parchment and finished with hand-inked script in the old stillroom style
🌿 A tiny crafted treasure — a seasonal hydrosol vial, charm bottle, or botanical salve
🌿 A £10 voucher toward any workshop in 2026
🌿 An invitation to a complimentary 45-minute Stillroom Hour — a quiet visit for scent, questions, or a small make together

This keepsake is my way of saying thank you for returning to the apothecary table, again and again, and for helping the stillroom grow with your presence.
