FORAGING AT THORNCROFT FARM

Thorncroft Farm, on the edge of Leatherhead in Surrey

Thorncroft Farm is nestled on the historic estate of Thorncroft Manor, set along the scenic banks of the River Mole near Leatherhead. With roots stretching back to Norman times, the manor has witnessed centuries of change — from its early ownership by Merton College, Oxford, starting in the 13th century, to its role as a base for Canadian soldiers during World War II.

Today, this picturesque setting is managed by Guy and Sheila, who maintain the farm’s traditions with a modern twist. They oversee an elder orchard, thriving bee hives, and a vineyard, producing delicious elderflower cordials and nettle syrups that are crafted on-site and available for purchase here.

While the foraging season has come to a close for this year, we invite you to check our calendar below for the 2025 dates.

Join us next season to explore the land’s rich flora and experience the joy of foraging, connecting the natural world with a touch of history.
